Requirements –

United States Citizen

Valid Driver’s License

          Must reside in Illinois

BOF – Basic Operations Firefighter – at time of conditional offer

EMT-Paramedic – at time of conditional offer

          CPAT and Ladder Climb certification – within 1              year at time of conditional offer

Salary

FF/Paramedic salary starting at $74,409.84 with current top out at $110,538.82

 Kelly Days

  • 8 Days Annually

Paid Vacation Days

  • Start – 4 Shift Days
  • 3rd year – 5 Shift Days
  • 5th year – 6 Shift Days
  • 8th year – 8 Shift Days
  • 10th year – 10 Shift Days
  • 15th year – 12 Shift Days
  • 20th year – 14 Shift Days

 

Personal Days

  • 48 Hours off each fiscal year

Paid Sick Time

  • Employees accrue 6 hours per pay period of sick leave
  • Employees earn sick time leave from the first day of their employment and shall continue to accumulate sick leave to a maximum of one hundred-twenty (120) days, or 2,880 hours.
  • Sick Leave Buy Out at Retirement after 20 years of service
    • 50% of sick bank at current hourly rate.

Holiday Pay
