Board of Trustees
Governance of the Sugar Grove Fire Protection District
The Sugar Grove Fire Protection District is governed by a Board of Trustees in accordance with the Fire Protection Act of Illinois.
Every two years, an election is held, and trustees elected serve a six-year term. The Board of Trustees plays a critical role in shaping the direction of the fire district by setting policies for its administration and overseeing the budget for district operations.
In addition to managing finances, the board is responsible for adopting ordinances and resolutions that ensure compliance with fire codes and guide the day-to-day operations of the district. Their decisions help maintain the high standards of service and safety the community relies on.
The Board of Trustees are:
David Blankenship, President
Tim Cicero, Secretary
Nicole Lamela, Treasurer
