PUBLIC EDUCATION
CPR, AED, & First-Aid
As SGFD continues to practice physical distancing, classes are limited to six people.
SGFD holds a number of Public Education opportunities for the community and is always looking for suggestions and feedback.
Included in those opportunities are CPR Instruction classes.
We are a remote site for the American Associations’ CTC located at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois. Depending on your needs, we offer a “Friends & Family” instruction, which teaches you how to Rescue Breathe, perform CPR, and remove a foreign body obstruction from a victim’s airway. In this class you learn the techniques but are not required to take a test, and therefore you are not provided a “CPR card’. However, we also offer a Healthcare Providers class that covers all of the above in more technical detail, including how to use a Bag Valve Mask and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
Costs listed below are for 3 or more students. All classes less than 3 students will have additional charges.
Healthcare Provider CPR – $55.00 per student
Renewals – $45.00 per student
Heart Saver CPR AED –
- Adult only – $50.00 per student
- Adult/Child/Infant – $55 per student
- Adult only plus First Aid – $60.00 per student
- Adult/Child/Infant plus First Aid -$65.00 per student
First Aid only – $50.00 per student
Payment is expected at the time of registration. Fee is non-refundable, unless district cancels class.
